The Mets optioned outfielder Andrew Brown to Triple-A Las Vegas Monday to clear a roster spot for outfielder Eric Young, who was activated off the disabled list. Brown hit .176 (3 for 17) with one home run and two RBI in his lastest nine-game stint with the Mets.
