Matt Dominguez, acquired from the Miami Marlins as part of the Carlos Lee trade, has been optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma, tweets the Houston Chronicle's Zachary Levine.
In four games with the Astros, Dominguez had two hits in eight at-bats, including a pinch-hit single on Sunday afternoon.
Dominguez was selected 12th overall in the 2007 draft.
The Astros will activate injured outfielder Justin Maxwell after the All-Star break. Maxwell is on a rehab assignment, and if his ankle heals, he'll be in Houston's lineup on July 13.
