Minor moves from the Athletics and Pirates this Monday:
- Oakland recalled second baseman Jemile Weeks, first baseman Daric Barton and reliever Jesse Chavez from Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced via Twitter. Weeks has been one of the league's big disappointments, mustering just a .220/.305/.302 line in 113 games after hitting .303/.340/.421 in his rookie year last season.
- The Pirates recalled infielder Chase d'Arnaud and reliever Bryan Morris from Triple-A Indianapolis, selected the contract of pitcher Rick VandenHurk from Indianapolis, and designated reliever Evan Meek for assignment, the club announced via Twitter. Meek posted a 2.14 ERA in 80 innings en route to an All-Star appearance in 2010, but his pitching lived up to his name this season -- Meek managed just a 6.75 ERA with a 1.33 K/BB in 12 innings.
