- The club picked up Darren Oliver's $3-million option for 2013. It is still possible the 42-year-old could retire, but if he returns to action next season it will be as a Blue Jay. The venerable lefty was one of the league's best relievers in 2012, recording a 2.02 ERA and 3.47 K/BB in 56.2 innings.
- The club declined Rajai Davis's $3-million option for 2013 but re-signed him to a one-year, $2.5-million contract. Davis hit .257/.309/.378 for the Jays but the 32-year-old provided excellent defense in left field as well as 46 stolen bases in 142 games.
