The Marlins just arrived home in Miami on Thursday afternoon after a road trip. It's unclear if he was alone or with some other teammates, but backup catcher Brett Hayes' Twitter feed shows the progression from joy to sorrow.

As it turns out, the man Hayes saw is now dead -- after he shot two police officers, whose wounds are said to not be life threatening.
