Reds pitcher Carlos Contreras was removed from Wednesday's game against the Cardinals with an apparent injury.
Contreras allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks in two-thirds of an inning, but appeared to misstep on a pitch and was taken out. Manager Mike Matheny didn't give an update on the pitcher's status after the game.
