Twins outfielder Darin Mastroianni began his rehab assignment with the Gulf Coast League Twins Monday against the Orioles. Mastroianni batted second as the designated hitter.

He went 1 for 3 with two RBI in the game. He had a sacrifice fly and was removed after five innings. He's recovering from ankle surgery back on May 22.
