The Nationals recalled reliever Erik Davis from Triple-A Syracuse Saturday to take the spot on the roster previously occupied by Bryce Harper.
Davis, a former 13th-round pick by the Padres in the 2008 draft, had a 3.00 ERA in 24 innings at Triple-A. Davis has never appeared in the majors.
