Contrary to appearances, the image that follows is not one of a uniformed Tony Romo on the loose in Arlington.
That, friends and neighbors, is Rangers closer Joe Nathan dressed up like Cowboys QB Tony Romo. Why, you might be asking, is Joe Nathan pretending to be one of the Metroplex's most divisive football-ists? As Shutdown Corner notes, his decision is the residue of a bet with teammate Mike Adams. Nathan, you see, is a lifelong New York Giants fan, and he wagered that Adams's beloved Cowboys would be vanquished in the season opener.
Mr. Nathan was wrong about that, and what you see is the price of hubris.
Adams (far left), as you may have guessed, is delighted by it all.
The backwards hat is a nice touch.
