Mariners relief pitcher Carson Smith wasn't his best on Saturday, but he had enough left in the tank to close out his team's win over the Yankees.

Smith allowed a run in the ninth inning before shutting New York's hope of a comeback down and recording his seventh save of the season. He struck out two batters in the process.

Smith has a 1.93 ERA with 47 strikeouts and six walks in 37 1/3 innings of relief this season.
