Marlins leadoff hitter Dee Gordon could return to action as early as Tuesday against visiting Washington, according to MLB.com.
Gordon, who has been out for two weeks with a thumb injury, has been progressing in batting practice.
"It's possible, yes," Dan Jennings said. "He's not feeling any discomfort. Now we just have got to get him into a game and see how that feels to swing it live."
