The Marlins have added insult to injury to first baseman Jeff Baker, who is on the disabled list with an intercostal strain. They have released Baker, per MLB.com.
Baker had just one hit in his last 17 at-bats before going down and has posted a weak slash line of .208/.288/.375 on the year.
