David Wright is set to undergo yet another surgery.
On Monday, the New York Mets announced Wright would be undergoing an operation on Tuesday to repair his rotator cuff:
Wright has missed nearly the entire season due to shoulder woes. He resurfaced recently and appeared in three minor-league games. Alas, Wright had to end his rehab assignment because of continued discomfort.
Now 34, Wright has appeared in just 75 games since the beginning of the 2015 season. He's set to make $47 million over the next three seasons.
The Mets also announced that Michael Conforto (shoulder), T.J. Rivera (Tommy John surgery), and Josh Edgin (knee) will be going under the knife later this week.
