More injury news from around the league as Monday's first slate of games is now under way.
- Matt Kemp remains on schedule start a rehab assignment Tuesday, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports. Barring a setback, Kemp could return to the Dodgers' lineup by the end of the week. Los Angeles scored just 2.96 runs per game in June as Kemp was sidelined with a hamstring injury.
- Brett Anderson (elbow) will throw to hitters in a simulated game Tuesday according to Joe Stiglich of the Bay Area News Group. The next step in the rehab process is usually a minor league assignment, so Anderson is likely around three weeks away from a return.
- Emilio Bonfiacio (thumb) is expected to start playing in rehab games Wednesday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. Look for him to make his return to Miami on July 13.
