Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring, the club announced Sunday. Ramos injured the hamstring on Saturday on a ground out.

Ramos, 25, missed all but 25 games last season after tearing his ACL but has looked real good so far this season. He's hitting .300/.391/.600 with two homers in 23 plate appearances.

As a corresponding move, the Nationals have recalled Jhonatan Solano from Triple-A Syracuse.

Solano, 27, hit .314/.351/.571 with two homers and six RBI in 37 plate appearances for the Nationals last season. He's off to a slow start this season (.150/.190/.150) in Triple-A.

With Ramos on the shelf, expect Kurt Suzuki to get the overwhelming majority of the starts behind the plate for the Nationals.
