Right-hander Erik Davis, who fell victim to Tommy John surgery early last year and has not pitched since 2013, has been assigned by the Nationals to Class A Advanced Potomac for a rehab stint.
Davis showed some encouraging signs two year ago, posting a 3.12 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings for Washington. But he underwent surgery in April of the following year.
