Just more than an hour into his big-league debut, Nationals catcher Sandy Leon found his way to the 60-day disabled list. Leon suffered a right high ankle sprain in a collision at the plate in the fourth inning of his first game in the majors.
The 23-year-old Leon was run over by San Diego's Chase Headley in the fourth inning of the game at Nationals Park and suffered what the team has announced as a sprained right ankle (via Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post on Twitter).
Here's the play on Orlando Hudson's single to center. 
Leon was immediately taken out of the game and replaced by Jesus Flores. The Nationals lost starter Wilson Ramos for the season to a torn ACL on Saturday. Carlos Maldonado will be called up to replace Leon on the roster.
The play was reminiscent of the Buster Posey injury, but unlike that play, it seemed like Leon didn't give Headley a clear path to the plate.
