Rangers pitcher Nick Martinez struggled for the second outing in a row Wednesday, in a 6-5 loss to the Orioles.
Martinez allowed six runs in 5 1/3 innings, though only four were earned. He had one unearned run come around in the first inning and one more in the third, and that proved to be the difference in the game. He scattered nine hits and three walks in 5 1/3 innings of work, while striking out just one in the loss.
Martinez's ERA rose to 3.22 with the outing, while his record fell to 1-2 in his sixth start. His next outing is set for Monday against the Indians.
