The Orioles sent pitcher Ramon Ramirez outright to Triple-A Norfolk Tuesday.
Ramirez was designated for assignment Sunday to clear a spot for Kevin Gausman. Ramirez has performed well at Norfolk, pitching eight scoreless innings while striking out 14 and walking none.
