Rangers southpaw Martin Perez had just one bad outing in six starts this season when he took the mound Thursday in Detroit.
Now he has two.
Perez was roughed up by the Tigers and victimized by his own wildness to the tune of three runs on six hits in just five innings with three walks and four strikeouts.
Two walks and two singles in the first resulted in one run and another walk in the third helped plate another.
Perez, who now owns a 5.30 ERA, had yielded just five runs in his previous 20 1/3 innings pitched.
