Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish began an offseason throwing program Monday, after missing the final month and a half of the 2014 season with elbow inflammation.
Darvish, who went 10-7 in 22 starts, threw from a flat surface 50 feet away 25 times. Rangers manager Jeff Banister said Darvish has done some conditioning and he is impressed with what he saw.
He had 182 strikeouts with a 3.06 ERA last year.
