So pitchers in the Pacific Coast League will get a break from d'Arnaud. The 23-year-old is hitting .333/.380/.595 with 21 doubles, 16 homers, 52 RBI and 45 runs in 67 games for Triple-A Las Vegas this season.
D'Arnaud's path to the big leagues, before this injury, was only "blocked" by J.P. Arencibia, who is hitting .226/.264/.410 with 10 homers and 67 strikeouts in 60 games for the Blue Jays.
D'Arnaud came to the Blue Jays' system in the Roy Halladay trade prior to the 2010 season.
