Barring setback, Braves right-hander Tim Hudson, who underwent back surgery in November, will return to active roster after one more minor-league rehab start, which will be Wednesday for Triple-A Gwinnett. MLB.com's Mark Bowman tweets that Hudson's return to the majors would then come on "either Sunday or Monday."
If that's the case, then Hudson would make his 2012 debut in Atlanta against the Pirates. On that point, it's hard to think of a more accommodating lineup to face in one's return from injury.
To make room for Hudson on the roster, the Braves will likely option Randall Delgado back to Triple-A. Considering that Atlanta has been fairly "middle of the pack" in terms of their rotation's performance thus far, Hudson's return will be a welcome one.
