The Mariners recalled two relievers Tuesday, adding Stephen Pryor and Carter Capps to the bullpen mix from Triple-A Tacoma, Greg Johns of MLB.com reported. Pryor and Capps fill the void left by traded relievers Brandon League and Steve Delabar, dealt to the Dodgers and Blue Jays respectively.

Both Capps and Pryor ranked in the Mariners' top 20 prospects to begin the season according to Baseball Prospectus. Both have powerful arms, with Capps able to run it in the mid-90s and Pryor averaging 96.2 MPH on his fastball in a previous stint with the Mariners this season.

Pryor has dealt with control issues this season, walking 4.95 per nine innings at Tacoma and walking three in his 5.1 major league innings. Capps has been nearly flawless this year at Double-A Jackson, striking out 71 against just 12 walks in 49 innings of work. He faced four batters at Triple-A and retired them all.

The Mariners also optioned outfielder Carlos Peguero to make room for newly-acquired outfielder Eric Thames. The 25-year-old Peguero hit just .146/.167/.293 this season with Seattle in 42 plate appearances.
