The Mariners say they are open to making potential deals, but they have a lot of untouchables, according to FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.
- Mariners officials are telling teams that they are open to trades, but other clubs have said the Mariners have a long list of of untouchable players.
- Rosenthal listed Felix Hernandez, Dustin Ackley and Kyle Seager among the players the Mariners were not willing to trade.
- The team also will not deal their top prospects; including their young trio of pitchers Taijuan Walker, Danny Hultzen and James Paxson. Shortstop Nick Franklin is also not available.
- If the team wants to make a play for Justin Upton, they'll need to part with some of these players.
- Rosenthal noted that some rival teams are wondering why Ackley and Seager are untouchable, as neither player has a long track record of success in the majors.
