Miguel Batista will replace the injured Dillon Gee in the Mets' rotation, Anthony Di Como of MLB.com reports.
Gee underwent surgery to remove a blod clot in his shoulder Tuesday. There is currently no timetable for his return. The 26-year-old has a 4.10 ERA and an excellent 3.34 K/BB on the season.
Batista, 41, has a 4.20 ERA on the season in 26 appearances. In his four starts, he has a 4.00 ERA in 18 innings, including 10 strikeouts and seven walks.
