Rockies starter Yohan Flande had a decent outing against the Diamondbacks in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader. Flande allowed two runs on five hits in five innings of work. He walked three and struck out five, but came away with a no-decision.
Flande surrendered a towering solo home run to Jarrod Saltalamacchia in the top of the second inning, putting the Rockies in an early 1-0 hole. But the Rockies tied it up in the bottom half, only for Flande to give the lead back an inning later.
Flande left the game trailing 2-1, but the Rockies tied the game up. The D-Backs rallied one last time and held on for the 6-4 final.
The 29-year-old left-hander has made seven starts for the Rockies this year, and is 2-0 with a 4.07 ERA in those outings.
