Yes, Cody Ross is back on the Boston roster as expected, but to make room for him the Red Sox have deactivated Scott Podsednik, who injured his groin on Monday night.
Ross hasn't played since May 18 because of a fractured foot. He's hitting .271/.349/.534 on the season and has seen action at all three outfield positions. Podsednik, meanwhile, is playing above his head at .387/.409/.484.
Ross will play left field and bat seventh against the Marlins on Tuesday night. With Podsednik deactivated, the Sox will still have five outfielders on the DL.
