The Nationals recalled reliever Erik Davis from Triple-A Syracuse for Saturday's game in New York. The team optioned Chris Marrero in the corresponding roster move, as reported by the team's.
Davis, 26 was up with the team in early June and saw five appearances. He gave up three earned runs over 4 1/3 innings with seven strikeouts. He will pitch in relief for Washington.
