It's too bad broadcasts won't show fans running onto the field, because it sounds like we had a good one in Chicago on Thursday -- and for once the White Sox fan wasn't trying to attack someone (probably only because it was the Orioles in town, not the Royals).
A child ran out onto the field during the seventh inning with Chicago's Nate Jones on the mound and Baltimore's Robert Andino at the plate with a 1-1 count. At that point, Andino stepped out of the box and watched as Chicago left fielder Dayan Viciedo chased down the tyke. He then handed the kid over to security.
There was no video shown (at least on the White Sox bradocast), but here's two screen grabs of Viciedo and the kid.
Nice work by Viciedo, at least.
