The White Sox traded for Pirates infielder Justin Sellers on Thursday, per MLB.com.
Sellers was playing for Triple-A Indianapolis in the Pittsburgh organization, and was 1 for 10 in four games. Chicago assigned him to Triple-A Charlotte.
Sellers last played in the Major Leagues for Cleveland in 2014, where he hit .188 in 17 games.
To acquire Sellers, the White Sox will give the Pirates either a player to be named later or cash.
