The Los Angeles Dodgers are having issues with their outfield depth. Over the past few weeks, they've placed Rob Segedin, Franklin Gutierrez and Joc Pederson on the disabled list -- that trio joining Andre Ethier, who was already injured.
On Tuesday, the Dodgers took a step toward helping their situation by promoting top prospect Cody Bellinger to the majors.

Though primarily a first baseman, Bellinger will presumably play most days, with Andrew Toles and Enrique Hernandez seeing action against righties and lefties, respectively
Bellinger, 21, is considered the Dodgers' best prospect by MLB.com. Their write-up gives him high marks for his bat and first-base defense while noting he hasn't looked "overmatched" in center field.
On the season, Bellinger has hit .343/.429/.627 with five home runs in 77 plate appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City.
