Jason Mackey@JMackey_PGH5H agoGiants strike for two in the 10th after the Pirates don't bring back Carmen Mlodzinski for another one. Bryce Eldridge with a double to left off Camilo Doval. Then Turner Hill with a sac fly. It's 5-3. -
Jason Mackey@JMackey_PGH5H agoCarmen Mlodzinski nine up, nine down on 30 pitches. Tremendous. Has allowed the Pirates to get two and tie. Can they get another and win it? Also, you're enjoying the Nick Gonzales Defensive Clinic. -
Jason Mackey@JMackey_PGH6H agoThrough six, Pirates face a 3-1 deficit. Valdez scored PIT's only run on a bases-loaded walk. Dropped fly ball from Devers (Cruz/Valdez miscommunication) looms large. Allow for sac fly and RBI single from Turner Hill. Carmen Mlodzinski on. -
Pittsburgh Pirates@Pirates12H agoJohn “The Candy Man” Candelaria will be officially inducted as a member of the Pirates Hall of Fame Class of 2026 this Friday. Candy spent 12 of his 19 seasons in the Major Leagues with the Pirates, ranks fourth in team history in strikeouts, and was a member of the 1979 World https://t.co/lzhWoTmncD -

Jason Mackey@JMackey_PGH17H ago"It’s not even a week’s worth of games. Anything can happen." ... Brandon Lowe had four hits, including a homer, scored the winning run and made a fabulous defensive play. He also offered some perspective. Jason Mackey@JMackey_PGH1D agoWell that's one way to do it. Probably the craziest game of the season ends on an error. Pirates win, 13-12. They nearly blew a 12-7 lead and used 7 pitchers ... but got it done. Pirates & Giants combine for 25 runs, 35 hits & 3 innings featuring at least 5 runs, 1 with 9.
