Randall Delgado: Heads to indy ball
Delgado signed with the Kansas City T-Bones of the American Association in mid-April, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
Delgado failed to break camp with the White Sox this spring and will now look to get his career back on track outside of affiliated baseball. The 29-year-old has a respectable 4.10 ERA over parts of eight big-league seasons, but his poor 4.76 ERA in 11.1 frames of relief for the Diamondbacks last season was not backed up by his 7.31 FIP or his 5:6 K:BB.

Randall Delgado: Released by White Sox
Delgado was released by the White Sox on Thursday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Delgado didn't make much of a case for a roster spot this spring, allowing six runs in five innings of work. He was sent to minor-league camp on Friday but won't stick around there either, so he'll have to look elsewhere for his next job.

White Sox's Randall Delgado: Heading to minor-league camp
Delgado was reassigned to minor-league camp by the White Sox on Friday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Delgado joined the White Sox on a minor-league deal in January and allowed six runs on eight hits across five innings during spring training. The 29-year-old should serve as organizational pitching depth at Triple-A for the White Sox.

White Sox's Randall Delgado: Signs with White Sox
Delgado signed a minor-league contract with the White Sox on Thursday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
Oblique and shoulder injuries limited Delgado to just 10 appearances with the Diamondbacks in 2018. When healthy, he posted an unimpressive 4.76 ERA and 5:6 K:BB across 11.1 innings. Delgado figures to compete for an Opening Day role in the team's bullpen as a swingman.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Contract selected by Arizona
Delgado's contract was selected from Triple-A Reno on Saturday.
Delgado threw seven innings of relief earlier in the season for the Diamondbacks, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out just two. Clay Buchholz (elbow) was placed on the 60-day disabled list in a corresponding move.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Re-signs with Arizona
Delgado agreed to a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks on Friday, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
Delgado will report to Triple-A Reno, where he's already spent a decent amount of time in 2018. The right-hander was designated for assignment, and then released, by the organization in late July after a few deadline moves required Arizona to make room on its 40-man roster. Delgado has appeared in six games for the big-league club this season, posting a 5.14 ERA and 1.43 WHIP across seven innings.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Designated for assignment
Delgado was designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Delgado was cast off the roster in order to make room for the recently-acquired Matt Andriese, who came over in a trade from Tampa Bay following Wednesday's game. Due to oblique and shoulder injuries this year, Delgado has only appeared in six games for the Diamondbacks, posting a 5.14 ERA and 1.43 WHIP across seven innings of relief. He will now be subject to waivers after spending the last five-plus years with the organization.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Surrenders run in relief
Delgado retired two of the four batters he faced in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Padres in 16 innings and was charged with an earned run on two hits.
Delgado was making just his second appearance of the season after being activated from the 60-day disabled list Friday. Though the right-hander's relief outing wasn't disastrous by any means, his failure to escape the sixth inning unscathed extended the game and resulted in the Diamondbacks exhausting all of their available bullpen options. Delgado and all of the team's relievers will have a chance to rest up Monday before Arizona is back on the schedule Tuesday in Colorado.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Activated from DL
Delgado (shoulder) was activated from the 60-day disabled list prior to Friday's game against the Padres.
He had a 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 16 strikeouts in 16 innings during a rehab assignment across stops with the Diamondbacks' High-A and Triple-A affiliates. Delgado should assume a middle-relief role for Arizona.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Set for activation Friday
Delgado (shoulder) is slated to come off the disabled list Friday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
Delgado is expected to make his 2018 debut after missing the first half of the season with an oblique and shoulder issue. He made five starts for the Diamondbacks in 2017, posting a 3.59 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with a 60:14 K:BB over 62.2 innings.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Expected back from DL on Thursday
The Diamondbacks are expected to activate Delgado (shoulder) from the 10-day disabled list prior to Thursday's game against the Padres, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
Delgado's 30-day rehab window came to a close Wednesday, with the right-hander making 11 appearances across two affiliates. The 28-year-old maxed out at 1.2 innings during the minor-league assignment, so he should offer the Diamondbacks some length out of the bullpen once he's activated. Over 62.2 innings with the big club in 2017, Delgado posted a 3.59 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 60:14 K:BB in 62.2 innings.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Needs more time on farm
Delgado (shoulder) will make another rehab appearance for Triple-A Reno on Wednesday and is expected to require several more outings in the minors before being activated from the 60-day disabled list, the Associated Press reports.
After having his rehab assignment shut down for more than a month when he experienced soreness in his right shoulder, Delgado was cleared to resume pitching in the minors June 5. He has since made seven appearances between two affiliates over the last three weeks, giving up two runs and posting a 13:5 K:BB in eight innings over that span. Despite the solid results, it appears the Diamondbacks want to see Delgado get a few more tuneups in before adding him to the active roster for the first time this season.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Another rehab appearance on tap
Delgado (shoulder) is scheduled to make his next rehab appearance Sunday at Triple-A Reno, the Associated Press reports.
There was some thought that Delgado might be activated from the 60-day disabled list over the weekend after building up to 34 pitches in his last rehab outing for Reno on Thursday, but the Diamondbacks determined the righty needed another tune-up appearance. Assuming Delgado's shoulder doesn't act up Monday and he turns in a quality showing, there's a good chance he slots back into the Arizona bullpen later in the week. He'll likely work as a multi-inning middle reliever for the club after excelling in that role a season ago.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Moves rehab to Triple-A
Delgado (shoulder) shifted his rehab assignment to Triple-A Reno on Thursday, tossing 1.2 scoreless innings while giving up two hits and recording a strikeout in the affiliate's 11-4 win over Iowa.
Delgado tossed 34 pitches in the outing, his fourth appearance overall since restarting the rehab assignment earlier this month. The right-hander looks like he has sufficiently recovered from the oblique strain and right shoulder soreness that have kept him on the disabled list all season, so he could be activated at some point during the Diamondbacks' series with the Mets this weekend.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Covers inning in rehab outing
Delgado (shoulder) made a one-inning rehab appearance Tuesday for High-A Visalia, giving up one hit and no walks and striking out two.
The 15-pitch outing was Delgado's first affiliated-ball action since April 17, when he made his third rehab appearance for Visalia before being pulled off the assignment due to right shoulder soreness. According to the Associated Press, Arizona skipper Torey Lovullo said that Delgado's fastball topped out around 93 miles per hour Tuesday, which is roughly in line with his average velocity from 2017. That's an indication that Delgado is close to full strength, but he'll probably make another appearance or two in the minors before being reinstated from the 60-day disabled list.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Restarting rehab assignment Monday
Delgado (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab appearance for High-A Visalia on Monday, the Associated Press reports.
Delgado endured no complications after pitching in an extended spring training game Friday, so he'll take another step forward in his recovery during the upcoming week by facing hitters in an uncontrolled setting. After opening the season on the disabled list due to an oblique strain, Delgado was pulled off his minor-league rehab assignment in late April after experiencing shoulder soreness. He spent the subsequent six weeks rehabbing the shoulder issue and seems to be back to full health, allowing him to focus on building his arm up again after the long layoff.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Pitches in extended spring game
Delgado (shoulder) threw 11 pitches in an extended spring training game Friday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
The Diamondbacks will wait and see how Delgado feels a day or two after the outing before determining his next step. Assuming Delgado reports no renewed soreness in his shoulder, he could restart a minor-league rehab assignment at some point during the upcoming week and return from the 10-day disabled list as soon as mid-June.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Throws live batting practice Tuesday
Delgado (shoulder) tossed 30 pitches in a live batting practice session Tuesday, Justin Toscano of MLB.com reports.
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo noted that Delgado's fastball velocity topped out at 91 miles per hour during the throwing session, which represents a decline of a few ticks from 2017. Since Delgado has been on the disabled list all season with an oblique injury and then shoulder stiffness, the expectation is that he'll gain more life on his fastball as he shakes off some of the rust. He'll face hitters again in an extended spring training game Friday before possibly restarting a minor-league rehab assignment.

Diamondbacks' Randall Delgado: Moved to 60-day DL
Delgado (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Sunday.
This won't have an effect on Delgado's status for a return, as he's missed close to two months already and just recently resumed mound work. Look for Delgado to embark on a rehab assignment next month before slotting back into the Diamondbacks' bullpen.
