Michael Choice: Re-signs with Korean team
Choice re-signed with the Nexen Heroes of the Korean Baseball Organization on a one-year deal in November, TR Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
Choice, who last surfaced in the big leagues in 2015 with the Rangers, saw his career stateside stall out due to his poor contact rates, with the Orioles cutting him lose last May after he struggled with their Triple-A affiliate. He ultimately latched on in the KBO last July and enjoyed a productive stint with the Heroes, slashing .307/.390/.653 with 17 home runs and 42 RBI. The 28-year-old will head back to Korea in 2018 and could generate renewed interest from MLB teams with another strong showing abroad.

Michael Choice: Released by Orioles
Choice was released by the Orioles on Tuesday.
Choice signed a minor-league deal with the O's in February after a disappointing 2016 campaign with Cleveland. The outfielder played in 11 games for Norfolk this year, but managed a sad .038/.219/.077 slash line over 11 games and 32 plate appearances. Choice, 27, has 96 MLB games under his belt, which should help him catch on with a new club.

Orioles' Michael Choice: Lands with Baltimore on minor league deal
Choice signed a minor league contract with the Orioles on Wednesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
The 27-year-old outfielder spent 2016 in the Indians organization, although it was a fairly disappointing year given his lack of success (.246 batting average, 29.3 percent strikeout rate) and injury issues that limited him to just 71 games. The Orioles have plenty of better options for their major league outfield, so Choice will likely be relegated to an organizational depth role in 2017.

Indians' Michael Choice: Homers in return from DL
Choice went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in his return from the disabled list Tuesday.
Choice had been on the DL since May 6 due to an abductor strain, but he was able to return in a big way after about two and a half weeks on the shelf. Barring any more injuries, the 26-year-old should be able to slot back into his regular role as an outfielder for Triple-A Columbus.

Indians' Michael Choice: Headed to DL with abductor strain
Choice was placed on the disabled list Friday with a right abductor strain.
Less than a month after being placed on the disabled list with a hamstring strain, Choice's luck isn't getting any better this season. Prior to this new injury, the outfielder was batting .257 with four doubles through 10 games, although this injury could keep him on the shelf for a decent chunk of time considering how much his legs have already taken a beating this season between this and the aforementioned hamstring injury.

Indians' Michael Choice: Four doubles in 10 games this season
Choice (hamstring) is slashing .257/.278/.371 with four doubles through 10 games this season.
Choice started off the season hitless through his first three games, but has come on nicely and is currently in the midst of a four-game hit streak after being activated from the minor league disabled list. He'll continue to act as organizational depth in the outfield for the Indians going forward.

Indians' Michael Choice: Placed on Triple-A DL
Choice was placed on the Triple-A disabled list Monday with a right hamstring injury.
Choice left Sunday's game versus Indianapolis in the 11th inning after chasing down a triple in the outfield. It's unclear if that's the play that caused the injury or if it developed earlier in the contest, but the outfielder will be on the shelf for a brief period of time. His return date should become clearer once he begins testing his hamstring again.

Indians' Michael Choice: Returns from hamstring injury
Choice (hamstring) returned to action Tuesday for the first time since February 29.
Choice was a long shot to earn a spot on the major league roster and a setback early in camp certainly didn't help his cause. He's likely ticketed for minor-league camp in the coming weeks as he figures to open the season at Triple-A Columbus.

Indians' Michael Choice: Tweaks hamstring Monday
Choice tweaked his hamstring Monday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
It is unclear how severe this issue is, but Choice did miss a week of spring training last year with a similar ailment. The former first-round draft pick was recently designated for assignment by the Indians, so this will only make matters tougher for Choice as he tries to garner some major league playing time.

Indians' Michael Choice: Clears waivers
Choice cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Columbus on Monday.
Choice is no longer a member of the 40-man roster, but he'll receive a non-roster invite to major league camp once spring training begins. The 26-year-old spent most of the season at Triple-A, slashing .239/.308/.393 combined with the Rangers' and Indians' affiliates.

Indians' Michael Choice: Designated for assignment
Choice was designated for assignment Wednesday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
The Indians acquired the former 10th overall pick from the Rangers in August and quickly opted to jettison him off their 40-man roster after acquiring Kirby Yates on Wednesday. Choice recorded a .239/.308/.393 slash line to go along with 13 home runs and 67 RBI with two different Triple-A affiliations in 2015, so it seems likely the Indians would like to see the 26-year-old remain with the organization if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
