Scott Lauber@ScottLauber2H agoAlso, Jesus Luzardo was supposed to face hitters today. That didn't happen in order for him to be available to pitch out of the bullpen Sunday, if the Phillies need to win. Luzardo (shoulder) is first eligible to come off the injured list Sunday.

Matt Gelb@MattGelb2H agoThe Phillies will see how far they can push Aaron Nola on two days’ rest, Don Mattingly said. He could throw 40-50 pitches. Maybe more. Maybe less. “If anybody’s built for this, it’s probably Nola,” Mattingly said. “He is a guy who is more old school than anybody.”

Todd Zolecki@ToddZolecki2H agoEverything is on the table for Sunday, if the Phillies still haven’t clinched. That includes Jesús Luzardo coming off the IL and pitching, even though he hasn’t pitched since Sept. 7 and faced hitters since. He was supposed to face hitters today.
