Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Signs seven-year extension
Ramirez signed a seven-year, $175 million contract extension with the Guardians on Saturday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
Ramirez still had three years left on the seven-year deal he signed with Cleveland prior to the 2022 season, but his new contract will ensure he remains with the Guardians through 2032. The 33-year-old third baseman has proven to be well worth the investment, as he's reached 150 games played in each of the past five seasons while averaging 31.6 homers, 102.4 RBI, 101 runs and 32 steals per year in that span.

Ramirez went 2-for-5 with three steals in Sunday's 9-8 extra-inning win against the Rangers.
Ramirez drew the start at designated hitter and tallied three stolen bases in a contest for the third time this season. The Cleveland star pilfered both second and third off Texas starter Patrick Corbin in the third before tallying his last steal off Jose Corniell in the ninth. Ramirez wraps another stellar fantasy season in which he reached the 30-homer/40-steal mark for the second consecutive campaign and slashed .282/.360/.503 with 103 runs and 85 RBI in 667 plate appearances.

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Achieves more franchise history
Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and an RBI in Thursday's 4-2 loss to Detroit.

The 33-year-old has climbed the ranks in several categories this season as he helps the Guardians push for a postseason spot. Ramirez is batting .333 (13-for-39) with five doubles, two home runs, three steals, eight RBI and 10 runs scored over the last 11 contests.
