Crockett agreed to a minor-league contract with the Reds on Monday, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The deal includes an invitation to spring training. It's been a busy couple of weeks for Crockett, as he was non-tendered by the Reds last week just days after the team claimed him off waivers from the Indians. The 25-year-old southpaw spent most of his time with Triple-A Columbus last season but has made major-league appearances in each of the last four seasons, compiling a respectable 3.12 FIP over 65.1 major-league innings during that stretch. Look for him to compete for an Opening Day spot in the Reds' bullpen.

Indians' Kyle Crockett: Recalled from Triple-A
The Indians recalled Crockett from Triple-A Columbus on Friday.
Over 48 relief innings for the Clippers, Crockett has impressed, with a 3.38 ERA, 9.2 K/9 and 2.1 BB/9. He won't be counted on for many high-leverage spots but has the strikeout ability to earn the occasional hold, especially if Cleveland wants to rest its major pieces with rosters expanded.

Indians' Kyle Crockett: Optioned to minors
Crockett was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Saturday, MLB.com reports.
Crockett was sent back to the minors as part of a flurry of moves during Saturday's doubleheader with the Twins. Since Crockett represented the Tribe's most expendable reliever, he was optioned prior to Game 1 in order to open up a spot on the 25-man roster for pitcher Ryan Merritt, who started that contest. Merritt was then optioned to Triple-A after his start to clear a spot for third baseman Giovanny Urshela, who entered the lineup in the nightcap.

Indians' Kyle Crockett: Recalled from Triple-A
Crockett was recalled by the Indians on Wednesday.
Crockett will come to the aid of a beleaguered Indians bullpen, which has used four or more relievers for each of the past three games. The 25-year-old lefty has performed well with Triple-A Columbus this season, posting a 1.85 ERA and a 0.99 WHIP over 24.1 innings in relief. Mike Clevinger, who was sent down in a corresponding move, will likely be recalled when Cleveland needs a fifth starter on June 17, so Crockett will have to truly impress if he wants to earn a long-term promotion.

Indians' Kyle Crockett: Shipped to Triple-A
Crockett was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.
After entering camp with little hope of making the Opening Day roster, Crockett put on a decent show during spring training and nearly made the cut. The left-hander appeared in a team-high 10 games this spring, managing a 2.70 ERA and 0.90 WHIP over 10 innings. Unfortunately for Crockett, the Indians don't need another southpaw in the bullpen, so his services won't be needed unless an injury or suspension occurs.

Indians' Kyle Crockett: Dishes another dull effort Sunday
Crockett tossed a scoreless inning, allowing two hits and no walks while failing to record a strikeout in Sunday's matchup with the Padres.
Crockett entered camp as a big underdog to win a bullpen gig, but he hasn't done himself any favors this month. Over his last five Cactus League outings, the 25-year-old lefty has given up three runs on eight hits over five innings, while being charged with a blown save in Thursday's contest against the Angels. Barring an unforeseen circumstance, Crockett is unlikely to don an Indians jersey during the regular season.

Indians' Kyle Crockett: Outside of 25-man roster headed into spring
Crockett's chances of making the Opening Day roster were lessened by the recent signing of Logan Boone, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
Crockett's rookie season didn't go well after he posted a 5.06 ERA and 1.44 WHIP over 29 appearances for the Tribe last season. The signing of Boone now gives the team three viable southpaws in the bullpen behind Andrew Miller. Crockett, 25, will likely find himself at Triple-A Columbus to begin the 2017 campaign.
