Orioles' Daz Cameron: Shipped to Baltimore
The Athletics traded Cameron to the Orioles on Thursday in exchange for cash.
After slashing .200/.258/.329 with 15 RBI across 186 plate appearances with the A's last season, Cameron will now move across the country to give the Orioles some additional outfield depth. Given how crowded Baltimore's outfield room is already, it's unlikely the 27-year-old takes on a meaningful role with the O's in 2025.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Losing work vs. RHPs
Cameron is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.
Cameron appears to have lost hold of a regular spot in the Oakland lineup, as he'll take a seat for the Athletics' fifth consecutive matchup with a right-handed starter or opening pitcher. The left-handed-hitting Tristan Gray seems to have displaced Cameron in the everyday lineup, but the right-handed-hitting Cameron should still be a regular presence in the starting nine when the Athletics oppose lefties.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Registers fifth steal
Cameron went 1-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base in Friday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Tigers.
Cameron had a decent game, including his third steal in his last 11 contests. He's gone 8-for-40 (.200) with four RBI and 16 strikeouts in that span. However, it was the man who pinch hit for him -- Seth Brown -- who was the hero in Friday's contest with two clutch hits in extra innings. Cameron is at a .190/.255/.331 slash line with five home runs, five steals, 14 RBI and 19 runs scored over 157 plate appearances this year. Cameron has remained the Athletics' fourth outfielder even with Miguel Andujar (abdomen) being shut down for the year in late August.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Resting again Tuesday
Cameron isn't in the Athletics' lineup Tuesday against the Mariners.
Cameron will sit down for a second consecutive game after going 6-for-31 with 12 strikeouts across his past eight contests. Seth Brown will start in left field instead, opening up first base for Tristan Gray.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Sitting down Monday
Cameron isn't in Oakland's lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners.
Cameron has slashed .194/.188/.258 with three RBI while playing in each of the Athletics' last eight games, and he'll now receive a day off to regroup. Seth Brown will take over in left field while Cameron rests, allowing Tyler Nevin to start at first base.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Filling in for injured Andujar
Cameron will start in left field and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Reds.
The Athletics look set to give Cameron a look in an everyday role after Miguel Andujar (core) was placed on the injured list Wednesday. While Andujar was held out of the lineup both of the previous two contests, Cameron filled in for him in left field and went 1-for-6 with an RBI and a stolen base. Cameron is slashing .202/.279/.368 with five home runs and four steals across 129 plate appearances in the big leagues for the season.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Productive in Sunday's start
Cameron went 1-for-2 with an RBI sacrifice fly and a stolen base in a win over the Brewers on Sunday.
Cameron's fourth-inning sacrifice fly snapped a 2-2 tie and gave the Athletics a lead they'd hold on to the rest of the way. Cameron's stolen base was also his second in the last three games, and the veteran outfielder has now rather quietly fashioned a .303 average and .888 OPS with four extra-base hits, six RBI and seven runs across his last 15 contests overall.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Records third steal
Cameron went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in a win over the Rays on Thursday.
Cameron drew his sixth start of August and managed to rap out a single for the third straight game. The journeyman outfielder appears set for intermittent playing time down the stretch, and his fantasy utility is very limited while sitting on a .189/.275/.358 slash line, even if he does have five homers and three steals in 120 MLB plate appearances this year.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Doubles in rare start
Cameron went 1-for-4 with a double and a run in a win over the Blue Jays on Sunday.
Cameron drew his first start since last Monday and delivered his second extra-base hit since July 27. The little-used veteran holds just a .185 average and .659 OPS across 38 games at the big-league level in 2024, so his opportunities are likely to remain sparse as long as good health prevails in the Athletics' outfield.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Goes deep Tuesday
Cameron went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Giants.
Cameron got the A's on the board with a solo blast in the second inning off Robbie Ray for his second homer over his last three games. Cameron's only made six starts in July and has reached safely in all of them. He's posted five hits with his two home runs being the only ones going for extra bases and the only times he's knocked in runs. The 27-year-old is slashing .188/.281/.388 with five homers, nine RBI, 13 runs, two steals and a 10:21 BB:K in 96 plate appearances this year.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Reaches twice in low-scoring win
Cameron went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a walk in a win over the Angels on Saturday.
Cameron managed to hit safely for the fourth straight start dating back to July 12 and added his first steal since June 1 for good measure. The 27-year-old is seeing occasional opportunities in the outfield and has also slotted in twice as the designated hitter, but his .184 average and .626 OPS don't make much of a case for reliable playing time.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Lifts fourth homer in win
Cameron went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in a win over the Angels on Thursday.
Cameron's 382-foot shot to right center in the fourth inning ended up serving as the game-winning hit, as it gave the Athletics a one-run lead they wouldn't relinquish. The 27-year-old last left the yard June 28, and Thursday's start, which came in center field, was Cameron's first since July 13.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Productive in leadoff role
Cameron went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run in a win over the Phillies on Friday.
Usual leadoff hitter JJ Bleday opened the game on the bench with southpaw Ranger Suarez on the mound for the Phillies, and Cameron took advantage of his first taste of game action since last Saturday. The young outfielder has offered some decent pop -- he's laced five of his 12 hits for extra bases -- and has drawn walks at an impressive 11.1 percent clip. However, Cameron has also been saddled by an astoundingly low .180 BABIP, and he's been given scant opportunity to work out the kinks of late even with Esteury Ruiz's (wrist) absence now well into its second month.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Pops third homer
Cameron went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 9-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
The Athletics hit a trio of solo shots in the ninth inning to run away with this game. Cameron's blast was his third of the year and just his second hit over his last nine contests. He's at a .177/.250/.355 slash line with six RBI, seven runs scored and one stolen base through 68 plate appearances. Cameron's lack of consistency at the plate is likely to keep him in a part-time role as he competes with Lawrence Butler for playing time in right field.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Homers in matinee game
Cameron went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a 6-2 loss to the Twins in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.
The homer was Cameron's first since his season debut May 23. He went 0-for-3 in the nightcap, but it's encouraging to see the outfielder maintain decent playing time. He hasn't done a lot with it, slashing .182/.234/.341 with two homers, five RBI, five runs scored and a 3:10 BB:K over 47 plate appearances this season. Cameron should continue to be an option in the corner outfield spots, though it wouldn't be a surprise for him to settle into a short-side platoon role if he can't find consistency at the plate.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Drawing another start Wednesday
Cameron will start in center field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Padres.
Set for his fourth start in five games, Cameron's playing time is on the upswing, but he probably hasn't done enough to take control of an everyday role just yet. He went 1-for-11 with three strikeouts over his prior three starts and is now slashing .200/.200/.314 in 35 plate appearances over 11 games for Oakland since getting a call-up from Triple-A Las Vegas on May 23.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Productive in high-scoring victory
Cameron went 2-for-5 with a two-run double and a stolen base in a win over Atlanta on Saturday.
Cameron opened the scoring on what would be a prolific afternoon for both teams with a first-inning double that plated Shea Langeliers and Miguel Andujar. Cameron would go on to record his first steal of the season as well, and the two-hit day snapped a 1-for-11 funk that had encompassed his previous three games. The 27-year-old boosted his average 50 points to .238 with his second multi-hit tally of the campaign, and the double served as his first extra-base hit since he'd homered in his season debut May 23.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Clutch hit in season debut
Cameron went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's 10-9 extra-innings win over the Rockies.
Cameron's blast was the reason the game went to extras, as he tied it at 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth inning. The outfielder earned a promotion from Triple-A Las Vegas by slashing .299/.418/.569 over 41 contests, and it appears he'll compete for playing time in the corner outfield initially. Cameron last played in the majors in 2022, seeing action in 21 games for the Tigers. His speed is likely to be more prominent than his power, though he'll need to show he can hit major-league pitching at all to get regular reps.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Promoted from Triple-A
The Athletics selected Cameron's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday.
Cameron, 27, has slashed a robust .307/.424/.577 with six home runs and eight stolen bases over 41 contests with Las Vegas this season. Keep in mind, however, that Las Vegas is a favorable hitting environment, and in 73 games at the major-league level, Cameron has slashed a meager .201/.266/.330. He was called up to take the spot on the 26-man active roster that was vacated by Esteury Ruiz (wrist), who was placed on the 10-day injured list. The right-handed-hitting Cameron could settle in as a short-side platoon option in the outfield.

Athletics' Daz Cameron: Enjoying torrid May in Triple-A
Cameron is carrying a .404/.530/.827 slash line across the 66 plate appearances he's logged for Triple-A Las Vegas in May.
Fourteen of his 21 hits during that span have gone for extra-bases, while Cameron has added 16 RBI. He's also walking at a 19.7 percent clip while only striking out 13.6 percent of the time, making it a particularly impressive stretch of offensive production. However, Cameron has had similarly successful stints throughout his long minor-league career, only to struggle against big-league arms when given the opportunity. Even if he's able to break through with a promotion, Cameron would have a lot to prove to be a viable fantasy option.
