  • Brewers' Freddy Zamora: Looks healthy for spring

Zamora (undisclosed) made his lone Cactus League appearance back on Feb. 26, playing two innings at shortstop while going 0-for-1 with a strikeout in a 12-6 loss to the Rockies. Zamora didn't see any minor-league action after May 11 last season due to an unspecified injury, but his brief cameo early in the Cactus League slate is an indication that he's healthy again heading into the 2023 campaign The 24-year-old is likely to report to Double-A Biloxi to open the upcoming season.

  • Brewers' Freddy Zamora: Expected to miss rest of season

Zamora (undisclosed) is expected to miss the rest of the season, according to Jim Goulart of BrewerFanatic.com. Zamora was placed on the injured list in late May, and while it's unclear what landed him there, it appears his injury will cost him the rest of the season. Zamora is one of the Brewers' better prospects, but his development will be put on pause for a while.

  • Brewers' Freddy Zamora: Moves up to High-A

The Brewers promoted Zamora from Low-A Carolina to High-A Wisconsin on Tuesday. The 2020 second-round pick will move up a rung on the minor-league ladder after slashing .287/.396/.399 with five home runs and nine stolen bases in 321 plate appearances at Carolina. Zamora's high-contact approach should allow him to maintain useful batting averages as he moves up through the Brewers' farm system, though he may not hit for enough power to profile as an everyday player in the infield in the majors.
