  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Fits in one more start before WBC

Allen allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two over three innings in Friday's spring start against the Cubs.

Allen made his second Cactus League start and final one before he joins Team Panama in the World Baseball Classic. The left-hander upped his pitch count to 51 (34 strikes). "It felt really good," Allen told Tim Stebbins of MLB.com. "Happy to get through three innings clean. Really feeling like I'm in a good spot. Everything's moving pretty good." The plan going forward is for Allen to stay on five-day routine while with Panama and build up his pitch count as a pitcher normally would in spring training.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Works spring opener

Allen allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two over two scoreless innings in Saturday's spring start against the Reds.

Allen kicked off his quest to claim one of three available spots in the Guardians rotation. The left-hander worked around a double and a walk in the first inning before leaving after 32 pitches (19 strikes) in the Cactus League opener. This might be Allen's only spring start before he departs camp to join Panama for the World Baseball Classic. Beyond locks Tanner Bibee and Gavin Williams, Cleveland will evaluate Allen, Joey Cantillo, Slade Cecconi and Parker Messick this spring in the battle to round out the rotation.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Coughs up four runs in no-decision

Allen took a no-decision in Sunday's 9-8 extra-inning victory over the Rangers, conceding four runs on five hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

Allen struggled once again in this 88-pitch appearance, generating only eight whiffs. The 27-year-old gave up two runs on an Alejandro Osuna double in the second before allowing two additional tallies via a Jake Burger single in the third. Allen slogged through the second half, pitching to a 4.59 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 52:24 K:BB in 66.2 innings after the All-Star break. Overall, the Cleveland southpaw concludes his regular season with a 4.25 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 122:62 K:BB across 156.2 total frames.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Drawing start in crucial finale

Allen will start Sunday's regular-season finale against the Rangers, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Allen will toe the rubber for Cleveland with an opportunity for the team to win the AL Central on Sunday with a victory. The southpaw has posted an impressive 2.00 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with 13 strikeouts over 18 innings in three starts in September. With Allen on the mound Sunday, Gavin Williams is expected to take the ball for Game 1 of the Guardians' wild-card series Tuesday.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Dazzles in nightcap Saturday

Allen (8-11) picked up the win in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader sweep of the Twins, allowing four hits and a walk over eight scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

After Slade Cecconi delivered seven scoreless frames in the matinee, Allen did him one better in the nightcap, producing 32 called or swinging strikes among his 102 pitches (64 total strikes) as he came within shouting distance of his first career shutout. The left-hander had his previous turn in the rotation skipped -- he's already thrown a career-high 152.1 innings in 2025, and he'd worked more than five innings only once in seven starts since the beginning of August prior to Saturday -- and the move paid off for Cleveland as they try to chase down Detroit in the AL Central. It's not clear if Allen will make another start in the regular season however, despite a 2.00 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB through 18 innings in September.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Limits Royals in no-decision

Allen didn't factor into the decision against the Royals on Wednesday, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out two over five innings.

While Allen had hiccups in the first and third innings, he was near perfect otherwise, facing the minimum number of batters over his remaining three frames. The 27-year-old logged at least five innings for the 16th time in his last 17 starts. The right-hander came into the outing with a 5.87 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 19 walks across his previous six starts (30.2 innings), and while Wednesday's line was cleaner, he continued to struggle with limiting baserunners. Allen remains tough to trust in most fantasy formats, offering little more than streaming value when in the right matchup.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Fans four in 11th loss

Allen (7-11) took the loss Thursday against the Rays, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out four.

Allen was able to keep a hot Rays lineup in check, and one of his runs went unearned due to a Gabriel Arias throwing error in the first inning. The southpaw has been a steady presence in the Cleveland rotation for most of the season, as he's now gone at least five innings in all but one of his 16 outings since the beginning of June. While Allen holds a lackluster 4.43 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 109:59 K:BB across a career-high 139.1 innings, he may warrant some streaming appeal next week against a Royals club with a .659 OPS versus left-handed pitching since the All-Star break.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: One rough inning in no-decision

Allen did not factor into the decision in Friday's 5-4 win over the Mariners, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts over six innings.

Allen was tagged for four runs in the first inning but settled in to blank the Mariners over his final five frames. It was the first time the southpaw completed six innings since July 29, and he'll close August with a 5.96 ERA across five starts. For the year, he owns a 4.42 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 105:57 K:BB over 134.1 innings and lines up for a road matchup with the Red Sox next week.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Roughed up by Rangers

Allen (7-10) took the loss against Texas on Saturday, allowing nine runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out two across five innings.

Allen got through the first inning unscathed, but that was about the only positive thing to come out of Saturday's outing for the 26-year-old southpaw. The nine runs he yielded were the most of his major-league career, and the three homers he gave up were his most since June 25, 2024 against the Orioles. Saturday's game inflated Allen's numbers to a 4.35 ERA and 1.43 WHIP across 128.1 innings this season. He'll look to turn things around in his next start, tentatively slated for next weekend at home against the Mariners.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Fans six in no-decision

Allen did not factor in the decision during Sunday's loss to Atlanta. He allowed three runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks over 4.2 innings while striking out six.

Allen gave up one run through four innings before things fell apart in the fifth. He was charged with two unearned runs and failed to complete the frame after a pair of errors. He threw 107 pitches (65 strikes) in the ineffective outing and generated only 10 whiffs. Allen has struggled with his command recently, issuing 11 walks over his last 14.2 innings. On the bright side, he's given up two or fewer earned runs in six of his last eight outings while lowering his season ERA to 3.87 with a 98:51 K:BB through 123.1 innings. Allen is lined up for a road start against the Rangers next weekend.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Settles for no-decision Tuesday

Allen didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Marlins, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out five.

The southpaw wasn't sharp, throwing just 53 of 93 pitches for strikes, but Allen kept the Miami offense at bay until the fifth inning, when a two-out walk to Otto Lopez set the stage for a three-run rally that tied the game. After an 11-start stretch in which Allen didn't issue more than two free passes in an outing, he's now walked eight batters in 10 innings over his last two trips to the mound. He'll take a 3.94 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 92:48 K:BB over 118.2 frames into his next start, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against Atlanta.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Strikes out six in no-decision

Allen came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Mets, giving up two runs on four hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out six.

The lefty's control was a little wobbly, as he threw just 51 of 88 pitches for strikes and managed first-pitch strikes to only 12 of the 23 batters he faced, but despite dealing with traffic on the bases in all five of his innings, Allen was able to limit the damage. He's been a steady presence in the Guardians' rotation, lasting at least five innings in 11 straight starts since the beginning of June while posting a 3.90 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 49:19 K:BB over 64.2 innings. Allen will look for his eighth win of the season in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Marlins.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Goes seven innings in win

Allen (7-9) earned the win over the Rockies on Tuesday, allowing two runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out three in seven innings.

Allen provided the Guardians with some much-needed length, going seven innings for the first time since July 24, 2023. He was staked to a seven-run lead by the third inning and kept the Guardians well in front by inducing plenty of week contact. Allen's only major blemishes were a pair of solo home runs, and he's now allowed three runs or fewer in eight of his last nine starts. He's down to a 4.06 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 81:40 K:BB in 108.2 innings and lines up to face the Mets on the road next week.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Allows four runs in defeat

Allen (6-9) took the loss after throwing 6.1 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out four, during Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Orioles.

Allen's streak of seven straight starts without allowing more than three earned runs is over after allowing four runs Thursday. The left-hander has gotten some tough results lately, sporting a 1-5 record in his last six starts despite a decent 4.08 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 35.1 innings. The 26-year-old is slated to take the mound next against the Rockies at home.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Done in by rough fourth frame

Allen (6-8) took the loss against the Athletics on Saturday, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 5.1 innings.

Allen was sharp through three innings, retiring nine of the 10 batters he faced. Things took a major turn for the worse for him in the fourth, however, as the A's led off the frame with three straight doubles and four consecutive hits overall to score three times. Allen got into trouble again in the fifth and the sixth, though no additional runs were charged to his ledger. The lefty saw a stretch of three straight quality starts come to an end, but he did manage to yield three or fewer runs for the seventh consecutive outing. Allen will carry a 4.06 ERA into his next start, which lines up to come at home versus Baltimore.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Sharp in sixth win

Allen (6-7) picked up the win in the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox, allowing two runs on one hit and two walks over six innings. He struck out five.

The southpaw served up a two-run shot to Luis Robert in the second inning, but otherwise Allen was nearly untouchable as he tossed 56 of 92 pitches for strikes in his third straight quality start and his fifth of the season. Allen will head into the All-Star break with a 4.00 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 70:38 K:BB through 90 innings.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Start pushed back

Thursday's game between the Guardians and White Sox was postponed due to rain, pushing back Allen's start, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

The teams are set for a doubleheader Friday, with Allen scheduled to take the ball in Game 1 at 3:10 p.m. ET, per Tim Stebbins of MLB.com. Allen has been inconsistent this season, though he's allowed three or fewer earned runs and completed at least five innings in five consecutive outings.

  • Guardians' Logan Allen: Dealt tough loss

Allen (5-7) took the loss Saturday against the Tigers after giving up one run on two hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out five.

The left-hander delivered one of his better starts of the season, but he was still charged with the loss as Spencer Torkelson's second-inning solo homer was the only run of the contest. Allen has covered five-plus frames in each of his past six outings, and he has a 3.85 ERA and 27:11 K:BB over 35 innings during that stretch. He lines up to finish the first half with a favorable matchup versus the White Sox next week.
