Orioles' Reed Trimble: Heads back to IL
Triple-A Norfolk placed Trimble on its 7-day injured list Tuesday due to right hamstring discomfort, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
After opening the season on Norfolk's IL due to a hamstring injury, Trimble returned to the lineup May 12. However, he played in just two games and went 2-for-8 with a pair of home runs, a stolen base, four RBI and three runs before returning to the shelf due to an apparent aggravation of the injury. The 25-year-old outfielder is without a clear timeline for a return.

Orioles' Reed Trimble: Homers in return
Triple-A Norfolk activated Trimble (hamstring) from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.
Trimble wound up missing a bit over a month of action due to right hamstring discomfort, but he's back in action for Norfolk following a seven-game rehab assignment with the Single-A and High-A clubs. The 25-year-old outfielder made a splash in his return to the Triple-A level Tuesday, blasting a three-run homer in his second game with the Tides this year.

Orioles' Reed Trimble: Shelved at Triple-A
Triple-A Norfolk placed Trimble on its 7-day injured list Saturday after he exited Friday's 6-4 win over Nashville due to right hamstring discomfort, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Trimble went 0-for-2 with a walk in Norfolk's opening game before being lifted for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the seventh. The 25-year-old was awarded a spot on the Orioles' 40-man roster this offseason and could make his MLB debut at some point later on in 2026, but it may take injuries to multiple outfielders before he receives his first call-up.

Orioles' Reed Trimble: Sent to minor-league camp
The Orioles optioned Trimble to minor-league camp Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Baltimore added Trimble to its 40-man roster during the offseason to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft. The 25-year-old could make his big-league debut at some point in 2026, but he may need multiple outfielders to go down with injuries before he gets a look. Trimble is expected to open the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Norfolk after slashing .259/.319/.435 with five home runs and eight steals in 30 games at the level last season.

Orioles' Reed Trimble: Joins 40-man roster
The Orioles selected Trimble's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.
After mostly being stuck in the lower minors for the previous few years, Trimble made it to the Triple-A level in 2025 and had a .259/.319/.435 slash line in 30 games for Norfolk. A strong showing in spring training could set him up to make his MLB debut in 2026.

Orioles' Reed Trimble: Active at Single-A
Trimble (shoulder) has gone 3-for-9 with a double, two walks, two runs and an RBI in three games since being activated from Single-A Delmarva's 7-day injured list Friday.
After undergoing surgery on his left shoulder over the winter, Trimble opened the season on the IL and didn't receive clearance to head out on a rehab assignment until mid-July. He only needed two rehab games in the rookie-level Florida Complex League before the Orioles felt comfortable advancing Trimble to Single-A, where he's expected to remain for the rest of the season unless he produces well enough to force a promotion to High-A Aberdeen.

Orioles' Reed Trimble: Playing at extended spring training
Trimble (shoulder) went 1-for-2 with two walks in an extended spring training game Tuesday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
Trimble underwent left shoulder surgery in December, and he's just now getting back up to speed. The outfielder, a second-round pick from 2021, still has a little more to go in his recovery, but he should be back with Single-A Delmarva in the near future to begin his second minor-league campaign.
