Pannone signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees on Friday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
The left-hander spent the first half of the season on a minor-league deal with the Cubs but was released earlier this week. Pannone posted an unremarkable 4.37 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 87:32 K:BB over 19 starts for Triple-A Iowa, and he'll now report to the Yankees' Triple-A affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

The Cubs reassigned Pannone to minor-league camp Thursday.
Over a small sample of eight innings in spring training, Pannone struck out six while allowing just one earned run on four hits and one walk. Despite the strong showing in Cactus League play, Pannone was unable to win a spot in the Cubs' Opening Day bullpen after attending camp as a non-roster invitee. The 29-year-old has previously made 50 appearances at the big-league level over parts of three seasons, though just one of those came in 2023.

Cubs' Thomas Pannone: Signs with Cubs as NRI
Pannone signed a minor-league contract with the Cubs on Monday that includes an invitation to spring training, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Pannone made one appearance with the Brewers in 2023 before finishing the season in Korea. The 29-year-old left-hander holds a career 5.46 ERA over 50 appearances (13 starts) across parts of three seasons in the majors. He seems likely to begin the 2024 season as rotation depth at Triple-A Iowa.

Pannone signed a one-year, $350,000 contract Thursday with the Kia Tigers of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Pannone inked his deal with the KBO club one day after being granted his release from the Brewers, who had designated him for assignment last week. The 29-year-old southpaw made one relief appearance for the big club before being dropped from the Brewers' 40-man roster, but he was productive in a starting role at Triple-A Nashville this season, logging a 2.70 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 50:13 K:BB in 53.1 innings. He'll now head overseas on what's a much more lucrative deal than the minor-league contract he had been playing under in the Milwaukee organization.

The Red Sox granted Pannone his release from his minor-league contract Monday, with the left-hander planning to sign a deal with the Korea Baseball Organization's Kia Tigers, Joe McDonald of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reports.
Pannone hadn't appeared in the big leagues since the 2019 season and wasn't in line for a call-up to Boston at any point in the near future, so he'll head overseas on what's presumably a more lucrative contract. In 14 appearances (12 starts) for Triple-A Worcester this season, Pannone contributed a 4.57 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 70:8 K:BB across 63 innings.

Pannone signed a minor-league deal with the Red Sox on March 11 and reported to big-league camp, but he made only one Grapefruit League appearance before being reassigned to Worcester. Pannone (3-6) allowed three runs on four hits with no walks or strikeouts in one inning while taking a loss against the Orioles on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old hadn't recorded six outs in any of his last five appearances before Tuesday, so he was never expected to last long in this one, but giving up three runs wasn't part of the plan.
