Jeremy Beasley: Finds work overseas
Beasley signed a one-year, $800,000 contract with the Hanshin Tigers of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball on Dec. 13, Yahoo Japan reports.
Beasley opted to continue his career overseas just under one month after the Pirates granted him his release. The 27-year-old right-hander had typically served as organizational relief depth at the Triple-A level in recent seasons, though he saw big-league action in parts of each of the past three years. Across stops with the Diamondbacks and Blue Jays, Beasley accrued a 5.84 ERA and 16.7 K-BB% over 24.2 career innings at the big-league level.

Beasley was traded from the Blue Jays to the Pirates on Tuesday in exchange for cash, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
He has a 1.89 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 43 strikeouts in 38 innings in the minors through 19 appearances. However, that success hasn't translated over in the majors, where Beasley has a 4.80 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 19 strikeouts in 15 innings through nine appearances. Beasley was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.
Beasley will head back to Buffalo after he appeared in three games following a July 16 call-up. He surrendered two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out six in five innings over those appearances. The 26-year-old will remain an option for the Blue Jays to call up if in need of bullpen depth.
