    The Pirates signed Sulser to a minor-league contract Thursday. Sulser had been at Triple-A Buffalo in the Blue Jays organization but was released last week after posting a 5.29 ERA and 37:13 K:BB over 47.2 innings. He's been assigned to Triple-A Indianapolis, where he will provide relief depth. Sulser last appeared in the majors in 2022.

    Sulser was released by the KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization on Friday, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports. Sulser was released to make room for William Cuevas after Cuevas was signed by the Wiz on Friday. In nine starts in the KBO, Sulser registered a 5.62 ERA and 35:14 K:BB over 49.2 innings. He's now free to sign with another club, but he's unlikely to be more than organizational depth if he rejoins an MLB organization.

    Sulser cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reports. Sulser was claimed off waivers from Baltimore in mid-October, but he won't remain on Pittsburgh's 40-man roster through the offseason. The right-hander was also with the Pirates earlier in 2022 and had a 3.63 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB across 22.1 innings between the two teams.
