  • Red Sox's Ranger Suarez: Bounces back with dominant start

Suarez (2-2) earned the win over Toronto on Monday, allowing one hit and issuing one walk while striking out 10 batters over eight scoreless innings.

Suarez was hit hard in his previous start, giving up four runs over 4.2 innings against the Yankees. He turned things around dramatically versus the Blue Jays, yielding just one hit -- a double -- and racking up 14 whiffs en route to a season-high 10 punchouts. Suarez got through his eight frames on 105 pitches and retired the final nine batters he faced. The lefty has run extremely hot or cold this season, giving up exactly four runs in fewer than five innings three times while surrendering zero runs over 22 frames in his other three starts combined. It's all added up to a 3.09 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB through six starts for Suarez.

  • Red Sox's Ranger Suarez: Ambushed in second loss

Suarez (1-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Yankees, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out four.

The Yankees ambushed Suarez for three runs in the opening frame, but the hurler was at least able to settle in and hold New York to just one run over his next 3.2 innings of work. Suarez has been a boom-or-bust fantasy play so far, tossing at least six scoreless innings in two starts while giving up four runs in fewer than five frames in his other three outings. The southpaw will be searching for some consistency his next time out in Toronto, where he'll carry a 4.00 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 19:8 K:BB through 27 frames.

  • Red Sox's Ranger Suarez: Throws eight scoreless Friday

Suarez did not factor into the decision in Friday's 1-0 extra-inning win over the Tigers, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out four over eight scoreless innings.

Suarez worked eight strong innings but was locked in a pitchers' duel with Casey Mize for most of the contest. Despite throwing just 55 of 93 pitches for strikes and generating only four whiffs, the 30-year-old has now tossed 14 straight scoreless frames without allowing an extra-base hit after yielding eight combined runs over his first two starts with the Red Sox. He'll carry a 3.22 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 15:6 K:BB across 22.1 innings into a home matchup against the Yankees next week.

  • Red Sox's Ranger Suarez: Tosses six scoreless in win

Suarez (1-1) earned the win against the Cardinals on Saturday, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out six over six scoreless innings.

Suarez cruised through six frames, throwing 55 of 84 pitches for strikes while limiting the Cardinals to only singles. It was a much-needed effort for the 30-year-old, who picked up his first win with the Red Sox after allowing four earned runs in each of his first two outings this season. He'll carry a 5.02 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB across 14.1 innings into a home matchup against the Tigers next weekend.

  • Red Sox's Ranger Suarez: Another short outing

Suarez (0-1) didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Padres, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out two.

Suarez started the day well, holding San Diego scoreless through his first three innings. However, things began to unravel in the fourth, when the left-hander was tagged for three runs. Suarez then gave up a leadoff single in the fifth, eventually resulting in a fourth run, before departing. Suarez's Red Sox tenure has gotten off to a rocky beginning -- he's now given up eight runs on 13 hits across 8.1 innings in his first two starts. Suarez will look to turn things around in his next start, currently slated for next weekend in St. Louis.

  • Red Sox's Ranger Suarez: Roughed up in Red Sox debut

Suarez (0-1) took the loss Monday against the Astros, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three over 4.1 innings.

Making his Red Sox debut after signing a five-year, $130 million deal this offseason, Suarez ran into trouble early. The left-hander opened the game by allowing three straight singles but limited the damage to just one run. Suarez couldn't piece it back together however, as he gave up a two-run homer to Yordan Alvarez shortly after in the third and a 434-foot solo shot to Brice Matthews in the fifth. The 30-year-old allowed a hit in all but one inning and generated just six whiffs, with his velocity topping out at 92.5 mph. Despite the trouble Monday, Suarez is more than capable of bouncing back as he's coming off a strong 2025 campaign in which he posted a 3.20 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 151 strikeouts over 157.1 innings
