  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Forearm strain deemed mild

Crow said Sunday that an MRI on his right forearm revealed a mild flexor strain, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Milwaukee placed Crow on the 15-day injured list Friday, three days after he shifted to the bullpen and made a two-inning relief appearance in the Brewers' 7-5 loss to the Athletics. Crow still appears likely to miss more than the minimum amount of time, but since his injury is considered mild, he's expected to avoid a prolonged shutdown. The Brewers are likely still planning on developing the right-hander as a starter, so he could end up joining the rotation at Triple-A Nashville once he's activated from the IL.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Lands on injured list

The Brewers placed Crow on the 15-day injured list Friday, retroactive to Wednesday, with a right forearm flexor strain. Crow pitched two shutout innings during his last outing Tuesday against the A's, but he appears to have come away from his appearance with forearm problems. He'll be forced to miss at least the next two weeks as a result, and the Brewers will recall Craig Yoho from Triple-A Nashville to fill the open spot in their bullpen.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Shifts to bullpen

Crow permitted one hit and one walk over two scoreless innings of relief Tuesday in the Brewers' 7-5 loss to the Athletics. After he had made his first four big-league appearances as a starter, Crow shifted to the bullpen this week while Milwaukee elected to move forward with Robert Gasser and Shane Drohan as the back-end members of the five-man rotation. Though Crow fared well in his first relief outing, the Brewers aren't likely to pull the plug on developing him as a starter just yet. With that in mind, Crow could sent back to Triple-A Nashville in the near future so that he can continue working out of the rotation.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Making another start Thursday

Crow is slated to start Thursday's game against the Giants at American Family Field. Crow will be awarded a second straight turn through the rotation after he took a no-decision in a four-inning start versus the Astros last Friday following his promotion from Triple-A Nashville. The 25-year-old righty has made three starts thus over three separate stints with Milwaukee, pitching to a 3.14 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 8:3 K:BB in 14.1 innings.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Goes four innings Friday

Crow didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Astros, allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks with one strikeout across four innings. With Logan Henderson (back) placed on the injured list earlier in the week, Crow got the promotion and made his third start of the season for Milwaukee. He wasn't particularly effective against Houston, generating five swinging strikes on 61 pitches while surrendering three extra-base hits, including a solo homer to Cam Smith. Crow has yet to throw more than 77 pitches in any of his three outings and now owns a 3.14 ERA and 8:3 K:BB across 14.1 big-league innings this season.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Recalled, could start Wednesday

The Brewers recalled Crow from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday. Milwaukee had optioned Crow to Nashville a week and a half ago, but he'll be eligible to rejoin the big club in fewer than 15 days after the Brewers placed Logan Henderson (back) on the injured list in a corresponding move. Since he had been on the same pitching schedule as Henderson, Crow is a logical choice to take over Henderson's turn in the rotation when it comes up again in Wednesday's series finale versus the Cardinals. Crow has previously made a pair of starts for Milwaukee this season, posting a 2.61 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 7:1 K:BB across 10.1 innings between the two outings.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Optioned to Nashville

The Brewers optioned Crow to Triple-A Nashville on Saturday. The Brewers won't need Crow's services beyond the spot start he made Friday, so they'll send him back to the minors in favor of Peter Strzelecki, who will provide extra bullpen depth. There's still a strong chance Crow will be promoted for future starts this year, however, as he owns a 2.61 ERA and 0.77 WHIP in 10.1 innings through his first two starts in the majors.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Takes no-decision Friday

Crow didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 3-2 win over the Twins, allowing one earned run on three hits and zero walks while striking out three batters across five-plus innings. Crow excelled at limiting traffic against Minnesota, taking a no-hitter into the fifth inning. The lone blemish against him came after he gave up back-to-back singles to begin the sixth, enabling Brooks Lee to drive in a run while grounding into a double play. Crow now boasts a 2.61 ERA and 0.77 WHIP two starts into his MLB career, and although his outing Friday was likely just another spot start, he's done well enough in a Brewers uniform to remain in consideration for more starts in the future.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Sent down to Nashville

The Brewers optioned Crow to Triple-A Nashville on Saturday. Crow fared well in his MLB debut against the Marlins on Friday, giving up two earned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four batters over 5.1 innings. However, Kyle Harrison (knee/wrist) is expected to rejoin the Brewers' rotation next week, leaving no room for Crow. He'll now head back to Nashville and continue to work as organizational depth, but his strong first impression with the big club makes him a candidate to make additional spot starts later in the year.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Solid in debut

Crow did not factor into the decision in Friday's 7-5 extra-inning win over the Marlins, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk with four strikeouts over 5.1 innings. Crow allowed runs in the fourth and sixth innings before departing with a lead, throwing an impressive 55 of 77 pitches for strikes in his major-league debut. While it was likely just a spot start for the 25-year-old with Kyle Harrison (knee/wrist) on track to return next week, Crow certainly made a case to remain in the mix if another need arises in the Brewers' rotation.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Recalled ahead of MLB debut

The Brewers recalled Crow from Triple-A Nashville on Friday. Crow is set to make his major-league debut with a start Friday in Miami. The 25-year-old missed most of 2023 and 2024 due to Tommy John surgery and a large portion of 2025 with a hip issue and a flexor strain. He's healthy now and was off to a nice start at Nashville, boasting 18:5 K:BB over 15.2 innings along with a 4.02 ERA. It could just be a spot start for Crow, as Kyle Harrison (knee/wrist) is expected to be ready to slot back into the Brewers' rotation next week.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Expected to make MLB debut Friday

The Brewers are expected to recall Crow from Triple-A Nashville to make his major-league debut Friday in Miami, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Crow has had a tough time with injuries, missing most of 2023 and 2024 due to Tommy John surgery and a large chunk of 2025 with a hip issue and a flexor strain. The 25-year-old is healthy now and has put up a 4.02 ERA and 18:5 K:BB over 15.2 innings and three appearances (two starts) this season with Nashville. Crow is filling in for Kyle Harrison (knee/wrist) but could be sent back to Nashville after the spot start, as Harrison is expected to avoid the injured list.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Dismissed from big-league camp

The Brewers optioned Crow to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Crow will likely be in line for a full-time stay in the Nashville rotation in 2026 after he made all but two of his starts last season at Double-A Biloxi, with whom he submitted a 2.51 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 52:8 K:BB in 43 innings. The 25-year-old right-hander was added to the Brewers' 40-man roster over the winter, but he's buried on the organizational starting pitching depth chart and is unlikely to be in store for an extended stay in Milwaukee at any point during the upcoming season.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Added to 40-man roster

The Brewers selected Crow's (elbow) contract from Triple-A Nashville on Monday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. He's now on the 40-man roster and protected from the Rule 5 Draft. Crow was limited to just 50 innings in 2025 due to injury, but he pitched well when on the bump, posting a 3.24 ERA and 64:12 K:BB between Double-A Biloxi and Nashville. The 24-year-old ended the season on the 7-day injured list at Nashville with a flexor strain, but he did not require surgery.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Likely done for season

Crow is unlikely to return this season due to a right flexor strain, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Crow hasn't pitched since early July, first due to a hip injury and more recently because of the flexor strain. It does not appear he will need surgery at this time, but the Brewers don't intend to push the 24-year-old to return before the end of the season. Crow has been terrific in 2025 when healthy, collecting a 3.24 ERA and 64:12 K:BB over 50 innings covering 12 starts between Double-A Biloxi and Triple-A Nashville.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Back in action

Crow (hip) was activated from the 7-day injured list Thursday. Crow looked sharp after missing just over two weeks with a hip injury, striking out seven over four scoreless frames in his start Thursday against Triple-A Memphis. He's now held opposing teams scoreless in three of his last four appearances.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Dealing with hip pain

Crow was placed on Triple-A Nashville's 7-day injured list Friday due to left hip pain, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The injury is deemed to be minor, as Crow is expected to miss just one start. He has spent the entire season with Double-A Biloxi but was recently promoted to Triple-A. Crow has a 4-0 record across 10 starts in Double-A with a 2.51 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 52:8 K:BB across 43 innings.

  • Brewers' Coleman Crow: Dealt to Milwaukee

The Brewers acquired Crow (elbow) from the Mets on Wednesday in exchange for Adrian Houser and Tyrone Taylor, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports. Crow underwent Tommy John surgery this past August and will likely miss the entire 2024 campaign. Selected in the 28th round of the 2019 MLB Draft out of a high school in Georgia, the right-hander owns a career 4.33 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 221:70 K:BB in 214.1 minor-league innings.

  • Mets' Coleman Crow: Traded by Angels for Escobar

Crow (undisclosed) and Landon Marceaux were acquired by the Mets from the Angels on Friday in the trade for Eduardo Escobar. Crow has not been able to pitch for Double-A Rocket City since the end of April because of an undisclosed injury, but he had a 1.88 ERA in four starts with a 31:6 K:BB prior to being placed on the 7-day injured list. The right-hander was drafted in the 19th round out of Kennesaw State by the Angels in 2019, and he has a chance to develop into a rotation option thanks to a five-pitch mix and the ability to land those pitches for strikes.

  • Angels' Coleman Crow: Sent to minors camp

Crow was reassigned Tuesday to minor-league camp by the Angels. Crow spent the 2022 season in Double-A with Rocket City, posting a 4.85 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 24 appearances (23 starts) spanning 128 innings. He likely will be a part of Triple-A Salt Lake's rotation in 2023.
