  • Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Preparing to help big club

Misiorowski has a 1.69 ERA, 0.38 WHIP and a 12:3 K:BB in 10.2 innings across seven appearances for Triple-A Nashville.

The Brewers are grooming Misiorowski for a bullpen role that could help the big club over the final month of the season and into the postseason. This developmental process has been used by Milwaukee in the past with Brandon Woodruff and Corbin Burnes starring as postseason bullpen weapons before joining the big-league rotation the following season.

  • Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Promoted to Triple-A

Misiorowski was promoted to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, according to MLB Pipeline.

Misiorowski was tagged for six earned runs in his penultimate Double-A start, but he still posted a 2.97 ERA and 0.99 WHIP over his last seven starts at the level, and the Brewers decided to move him one step away from the big leagues. Concerns remain about Misiorowski's control, but not about his stuff, and there is a chance he could be called up to the majors before the campaign comes to a close.

  • Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Another stellar showing

Misiorowski gave up one earned run over 6.1 innings for Double-A Biloxi on Saturday. He allowed two hits and posted a 10:2 K:BB in the contest.

The 6.1 innings were a career high for Misiorowski, and the 10 punchouts were the most he has recorded in a game this season. Walks have been an issue for Misiorowski, but he has issued just five free passes in 20.1 innings over his last four starts, and that no doubt has contributed to the 2.21 ERA and 0.79 WHIP he has posted over that span.

  • Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Dominates in Double-A start

Misiorowski threw six scoreless innings in a game with Double-A Biloxi on Wednesday. He allowed one hit and posted a 5:0 K:BB in the contest.

Misiorowski was tagged for a season-high six earned runs in his previous outing, but he bounced back in fine fashion by blanking his latest opponent while tossing a season-high six frames. Misiorowski has issued at least three free passes in eight of his 13 starts this season, but he is showing some improvement there, having walked only three total batters over his last three trips to the mound.

  • Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Making mark early

Misiorowski threw five scoreless innings in a game with Double-A Biloxi on Sunday. He allowed two hits and posted an 8:4 K:BB in the contest.

Misiorowski was tagged for four earned runs over 4.1 innings in his first start of the season, but he has allowed only three runs in 19.0 innings since, and since the start of that stretch he owns a 1.42 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 29:14 K:BB. The walk rate and a handful of wild pitches over the same span indicate the control could use some work, but opposing hitters are having trouble making contact against one of Milwaukee's top pitching prospects.

  • Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Resumes throwing

Misiorowski (arm) has resumed a throwing program, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Misiorowski didn't make an appearance after Aug. 15 due to right arm fatigue, but it would appear he's moved past that. The 21-year-old was one of the biggest pitching prospect breakouts in all of the minors in 2023, collecting a 3.41 ERA and 110:42 K:BB over 71.1 innings between Low-A Carolina, High-A Wisconsin and Double-A Biloxi. It's possible he could push to debut at some point in 2024 if he stays healthy and continues to progress.

  • Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Lands on injured list

Double-A Biloxi placed Misiorowski on its 7-day injured list Saturday due to arm fatigue, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Per the report, "Initial tests did not prompt significant concern about structural damage, but out of caution, the Brewers have shut Misiorowski down for the time being." With that in mind, Misiorowski is facing an extended absence, but according to Brewers general manager Matt Arnold, there's still a chance the hard-throwing 21-year-old could find himself in the big-league bullpen before the campaign comes to a close.

  • Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Gets call to Double-A

The Brewers promoted Misiorowski from High-A Wisconsin to Double-A Biloxi on Monday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

After striking out the side in a head-turning performance during the All-Star Futures Game on July 8, Misiorowski made one final tune-up outing at the High-A level over the weekend before ultimately earning the call to Biloxi. The flame-throwing right-hander will join his third affiliate of the season after he began the 2023 campaign at Single-A Carolina before moving to the Midwest League in early June. Over his six starts at Wisconsin, Misiorowski turned in a 1.90 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 28:14 K:BB across 23.2 innings.
