It was a rare misstep for the National League Cy Young frontrunner, who coughed up a season-high five runs Wednesday. The outing stopped Misiorowski's streak of starts with three earned runs or fewer at 25, and the five punchouts matched a season low as well. Still, he responded well with two scoreless frames after Chicago jumped on him during the first two innings. He'll be looking to get back on track in a home rematch with the Cubs next week, still boasting a 1.97 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 227:39 K:BB over 155 innings.

Misiorowski battled a slick mound at times at wet Citi Field on Thursday, but the rainy conditions didn't stop him from firing six strong innings. The All-Star right-hander extended his streak of quality starts to five, and he's now fanned at least six in all but one of his 25 outings on the year. He's set to take an outstanding 1.73 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 222:35 K:BB over 151 innings into a tough road assignment against the division-rival Cubs.
Misiorowski (13-5) picked up the win in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Atlanta, scattering four hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out six.
The 24-year-old right-hander came out on top in a battle of NL Cy Young contenders with Chris Sale. Misiorowski didn't allow a runner to get past second base, and he delivered his fourth straight quality start and 16th of the season on 96 pitches (55 strikes). Over six outings since the All-Star break, he's racked up a 3-1 record with a 1.85 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and dominant 49:6 K:BB over 34 innings. Miz will look to keep rolling in his next trip to the mound, which is set to come at home next weekend against the Rangers.

Misiorowski (12-5) earned the win over the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out six batters over six innings.
Misiorowski set the tone quickly, leading off his outing by firing six straight fastballs of over 102 mph to Shohei Ohtani, who ultimately popped out. Ohtani got some revenge with an RBI triple in the third, but that was the only run Misiorowski ended up allowing. The All-Star hurler finished with a modest (for him) six punchouts, but not for a lack of swing-and-miss stuff -- he induced 17 whiffs over 98 total pitches. Misiorowski has now logged three consecutive quality starts, though this was his first victory during that span. He continues to lead qualified MLB pitchers by wide margins with a sterling 1.75 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 210 punchouts to further strengthen his already-strong case for his first Cy Young Award.

Misiorowski also recorded his 200th strikeout of the season in only 129.1 innings to become the second-fastest pitcher in MLB history to reach 200 punchouts behind only Spencer Strider, who needed only 123.1 frames to attain that figure in 2023 for Atlanta, per Casey Drottar of MLB.com. Misiorowski (11-5) allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out 10 over seven innings to take the loss versus the Angels on Sunday.
Unfortunately for Misiorowski, two of the baserunners he allowed were in the second inning, when Wade Meckler took him deep. The Brewers put 10 on base but couldn't scrape together any run support for their ace, who logged double-digit strikeouts for the 10th time this season. Misiorowski was also efficient, throwing 66 of 83 pitches for strikes, matching his pitch count from his last start. The star right-hander is at a 1.63 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 195:29 K:BB through 127 innings over 21 starts this season. His next start is projected to be against the Twins.
