White Sox's Lane Ramsey: Sent outright to Triple-A

Ramsey cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Charlotte by the White Sox on Thursday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The 27-year-old is no longer on the 40-man roster but will stick around in the organization. Ramsey put up a 5.85 ERA and 18:9 K:BB over 20 innings of relief with the White Sox in 2023.

The White Sox designated Ramsey for assignment Saturday.
Ramsey appeared in 21 games for the White Sox after having his contract selected in August, posting a 5.85 ERA and 1.70 WHIP across 20 frames. He'll now be cast off the 40-man roster in order to make room for Zach DeLoach and Prelander Berroa following Saturday's trade that sent Gregory Santos (elbow) to Seattle.

The White Sox selected Ramsey's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday.
Ramsey has a 5.50 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 48:27 K:BB across 36 innings at Charlotte this season and will now receive his first taste of the big leagues. The 27-year-old should fill a low-leverage bullpen role while up with the White Sox.
